Cumberland Academy is a unique educational community made up of five tuition-free public charter schools serving students from Pre-K 3 through 12th grade, along with a private Montessori program for children ages 18 months to 5 years. From a child’s first learning experiences to graduation day, Cumberland Academy provides innovative, high-quality educational opportunities designed to support students at every stage of their journey.  

Our schools offer a small school environment where students discover new interests, develop meaningful relationships, and explore unsurpassed opportunities in the arts, athletics, leadership, and academics and grow into the fully developed person they are destined to become.

• Our Pre-K program for children ages 3-4 - Where the base is built, utilizing a Literacy First approach that prepares students for elementary school.

• Our Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary schools (Grades 1-5) - Where students are exposed early to the arts and a STEM program that stimulates learning and is rare in lower grades today.

• Our Middle School (Grades 6-8) - Small classes, safety, elite facilities and sports starting in 6th grade combine to offer a middle school experience second to none.

• Our High School (Grades 9-12) - One of the most highly rated high schools in East Texas, Cumberland offers an extraordinary overall high school experience.

• Our Cumberland Connect Virtual/Hybrid Program - Online, on campus or both, Cumberland Connect gives students more flexibility for work schedules and study environment.

• The Leadership Academy (Pre-K-8th Grade) - A Montessori school that celebrates independence and offers a child-centered educational approach.
