Transition Planning

What is Transition Planning?

Transition planning is helping students transition from high school to their career or post-secondary education. For example, if a student would like to work in a print shop, our Transition Coordinator, Amy DeWalch, helps him or her plan to make sure their courses align with that goal. Mrs. DeWalch works closely with teachers to ensure students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are on track for the career path as well. If a student plans to go to college, she makes sure they are on the road to a certificate or degree of their choosing in order to set the student up for success once they leave our campus.

If you have any questions or if you own a business that would be interested in allowing our students to work and learn, please contact:

As the Special Education Transition Coordinator, she helps high school students obtain shadowing opportunities, internships, jobs, and acceptance into college.
Thank you to our community partners for allowing our students to work and learn in your businesses!
